"Velcro" (Hook & Loop) is commonplace as a closure device for infant as well as adult diapers — taking the place of Safety Pins. The Safety Pin, though, was a very reliable device for keeping the diaper closed and secure. No one wants their diaper coming undone, but with the new "velcro" closures, that can be a problem and is know in the industry as the "pop-up." Tietex makes the "Loop" part of "hook & loop" — The SOFT part of that closure device. Their newest offering is called "TouchDown" and it promises to be as reliable as the good old Safety Pin.
